Jurgis at Motegi, Oct 31 - Nov 2

Unfortunately, all flights were canceled after the accident.
Instead, the runway area open house was held free of charge for the rest of the event days. Jurgis was there to meet the fans and sign autographs for all who had come along even knowing there was to be no flying.

This time, a new name was drawn on the side of the Su31 nose. It is "Kuuzoku" - The two characters represent "sky" and "pirates" very similar to the name of Jurgis' formation team the  "Air Bandits".
The origin of the Japanese name is from a popular Japanese animated movie about a pilot who flew around the Mediterranean and Adriatic fighting a single handed vigilante war against air borne pirates in large float equipped  "ships".

Long line of Jurgis fans, waiting to get his signature.

Jurgis was supported by all ages.

Jurgis and Taro Imahara doing the Kairys "roar". During Jurgis' stay in Fujikawa this time, Taro took some really nice aerial shots of the 31 and Mt Fuji from the Decathlon while doing formation loops. Hopefuly we can show them here soon. He admitted his arms were getting tired after about ten continuous loops!
